Privacy policy
What personal information livedigest.news handles, why, who else sees it, how long it is kept, and the rights you have over it.
Your privacy at LiveDigest
LiveDigest is a news website. You can read every story without an account, and we never ask you to create one.
This policy covers livedigest.news. It explains the little personal information the site handles: what you send us through the feedback form, the technical data needed to deliver the pages, and measurement after your consent.
Last updated October 15, 2026.
Information we handle
Each entry names what is handled, why, and for how long.
The feedback form
The feedback type, your message and, if you give one, your e-mail address. They reach the editors as an e-mail in our mailbox, main@livedigest.news, so we can read your feedback, answer it and correct our reporting. When you give an e-mail address, our own server also records who wrote and when, without the message. We keep messages only as long as we need them to reply and to keep a record of corrections.
Protection from abuse
To stop automated abuse of the form, the server counts the recent sends from each network address for ten minutes, in memory only. A hidden field and the time spent on the form tell people from scripts; neither is stored.
Delivering the pages
Like every website, the servers that deliver the pages see your network address, your browser and the page you ask for. Our hosting provider handles this data to deliver the site and keep it secure.
Analytics
Only if you allow analytics, Google Analytics 4 measures visits to livedigest.news: the pages viewed, how you arrived, your type of device and your approximate location. Nothing is measured before you choose.
The weather panel
The forecast on the home page comes from Open-Meteo. Your browser asks Open-Meteo for the weather of a fixed city, so Open-Meteo receives your network address with that request. No cookie is set.
Your cookie choices
Kept in your own browser for 182 days, so the cookie banner does not return on every page.
Who else handles your information
We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for advertising. The site shows no advertising today.
Service providers handle it on our behalf: Proton Mail hosts our mailbox, Vercel hosts the site, Google provides analytics after your consent, and Open-Meteo provides the weather. Some of them may process data outside your country under their own safeguards.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, to correct it or to delete it, and you can object to its use. Where the law gives you more rights, as the GDPR and the UK GDPR do, we respect them.
To withdraw your consent to analytics at any time, choose Cookies in the site footer.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can also complain to the data protection authority where you live.
